English Language and Literature

Hi. I am Rachel, the assistant of KNU English Language & Literature department.

All international students must take Korean 2 or Korean 3 for graduation.

(You can only take Korean 2 if you have completed Korean 1 or achieved a sufficient score on the level test.)

If you haven't taken Korean 2 or 3 yet, please read carefully. You cannot register for Korean classes online. You need to tell me.

2. -Students who already took Korean Level 1:

   • You don't have to take the level test. Just choose Korean Level 2 and let me know the time of the class by Feb 27th 17:00 KST. Please check the attached timetable.

3. -Students who already took Korean 2 as an MA student or university student at KNU:

   • You don't have to take the Korean class again. Just let me know by Feb 27th 17:00 KST.

4. -Students who haven't taken any Korean class:

   • The class level depends on your Korean skills. You need to take the level test. On the day of the test, go to the test location and take the exam.   
     •     (*Level test days: March 4th and 5th 10AM in Humanities2-108 (Choose one day) )
   • If you want to start with Korean 1, you don't have to take the level test. Choose the class and email me by Feb 27th 17:00 KST.. Please check the attached timetable.

6. -Students who have TOPIK level 6 or above:
   You don't have to take a Korean class. Please submit your certification by Feb 27th 17:00 KST.
